Marie Curie Fellowship

I learnt that my application for a 3-year Marie Curie Outgoing Fellowship was successful!  This will allow me to continue working on thrips in Australia for a further two years until April 2014, after which I will be based at the University of Sussex, UK, for a year, doing a short project on facultatively social Halictine bees.  The extra time in Australia will allow me to look properly at nutrition and cooperation, and also at the genetics of reproductive skew in cooperative thrips nests, both of which promise to be really interesting.
